Back view of the Hellenistic Prince, bronze statue, Palazzo Massimo alle Terme in Rome.

Found in February 1885, along with the Boxer of the Baths (in the background), on a slope of the Quirinal Hill, probably on the ruins of the Baths of Constantine.

The two sculptures, apparently carefully buried in antiquity, are not related, belonging to two different periods of execution.

The Hellenistic Prince, a 204 cm bronze statue, could be a Roman general from the 2nd century BC.

The Boxer of the Baths, an ancient Greek bronze sculpture measuring 128 cm in height, dates from the second half of the 4th century BC and is attributed to Lysippus or his immediate circle.
