Oh sorry for the confusion. Itâs because I hate cops
month starting on a monday we have no excuse guys lets get to work and lock the fuck in
yk its actually very chic and avant garde to start on tuesday the second
many claim theres nothing more subversive and revolutionary than starting on wednesday the third
there are simply no words in the english language that can describe starting on thursday the fourth. thats how iconic it is
choosing to start on friday the fifth. i just think its very inspiring
lets all kill ourselves
drug addicts deserve housing, food, water, and healthcare btw
Swinging at the hornets nest here (the âsex work is workâ crowd wonât like this one lol) but there was a post going around about like âif you work in hospitality and you think you see a sex worker, no you didnât. Keep your mouth shut and let them make their moneyâ is honestly sending me. As many of you know, one of my jobs is working front desk at a hotel and like no ladsâŚwe canât âlook the other wayâ at times. Yes, we know when the working girls check in (many are regulars who are open about it, plus after working their long enough you Knowâ˘ď¸ when a woman is because you can clock the signs) and of course we canât stop them but there are times when you literally have to say something. Here are a couple of instances that have happened on my shifts alone:
-I was checking in two girls and knew something was off and asked to see both their IDâs. Only one had a passport and her 18th birthday was literally a week ago. The other one handed me her high school student card. We had to call the police when their pimp came in and started making threats bc we refused to check them in.
-a sex worker checked in the night before and a housekeeper went into the room the next morning and found the woman in a bloody mess. There were chunks of human tissue scattered throughout the room (the housekeeper quit after that. Honestly, housekeepers are literally on the front lines of the bullshit but thatâs another story)
-something about a âcoupleâ was offfffffff at check in. The woman was standing with her hands behind her back, had her eyes glued to the floor, and wouldnât answer questions despite her name being on the reservation. The man was answering for her. When I asked to see her ID, he hands it to me, and when I handed it to her, her arms were covered in bruises. We didnât let them check in
-there are two properties and one of them has an agreement with a womenâs shelter. Iâve checked in women into one property only to see them come in months later to the other property under the womens sheltersâ reservation with bruises and broken limbs (many of whom are indigenous women).
So yeah bottom line: with the World Cup soon approaching, all of us -front desk, maintenance, housekeeping, the kitchen staff, sales, you name it all departments- have had to do extensive modules on clocking the signs of human trafficking. You canât just look the other way because it can mean missing the underaged girl or preventing horrific violence. Yes we have our regulars and yes sometimes it is what it is but no you canât just look the other way and let them âsecure the bagâ because I guarantee thereâs a pimp in the lobby/parking lot whoâs the one getting the bag at her expense.
white europeans love to pretend like the united states and europe arenât two cheeks of the same ass
Listen, nobody who's ever opened a history book says we didn't do that shit first. Pick an atrocity and chances are there was a time europeans did it on mass to someone for the sake of profit. The difference, is that we have for the most part put that behind us, while the US is just sinking deeper and deeper into it. We're not perfect, and we were a lot worse in the past. But it has been a while since we were the problem
so the racism, antiblackness, islamophobia, and hatred for immigrants just disappeared huh
"its been a while since we were the problem" someone Black was murdered by police violence in Ireland last month
please just let this woman sleep a little

Now, a question for my Black followers ONLY:
The rest of you can (and really ought to!) reblog, but it's not your turn to talk. Just listen and reflect!
What DOES a good apology for antiblackness look like, to you?
Not a shitty twitter apology that dodges accountability. Not a genuine apology made to white fans to soothe their embarrassment and egos and maintain white solidarity.
What does an ACTUAL apology for antiblackness consist of, to you?
What actions do you need to see from people who claim to be better, to deserve your support despite a history of being unsafe?
Why do you think nonblack people feel they're entitled to grace, and what would actually EARN them your grace? What makes you not want to offer it at all?
I think there's a disconnect between what the group being harmed needs, and what people think the group being harmed should settle for. We've been forced to know the latter. How do Y'ALL feel?
i will always view antiblackness as a form of violence inflicted upon Black people, so the apologies donât move me. like they mean absolutely nothing to me, because i know itâs going to happen again, it always does. they get called out for it and they either double down or start crying & whining and playing the victim. antiblackness is learned behavior. it is taught and nonblack are very much aware of how harmful and hurtful it is. they see us talking about antiblackness every damn day, but they donât care.
antiblackness is a choice, so no i donât want to hear an apology. it wonât be sincere or well thought out anyway because yâall donât even know how how to apologize properly without saying âiâm sorry if you were offended.â youâve already lost me when you start saying that shit. and imma be real, if youâre looking for grace and forgiveness, you wonât find it over here.

itâs so dumb that broad shoulders are considered unattractive in a woman just because the ideal of womanhood is based on the perceived fragility of a smaller frame. have you ever seen a woman with broad shoulders? looks like she was sculpted by the gods themselves
