I’d sincerely appreciate it if non-Brazilians reblogged this. Media outlets all over the world (and especially in my homeland) will try to sweep this under the rug but the horror has spread nationwide. We call it chacina for a reason.

It would be of great help if other countries and their citizens held Brazilian politicians/figures of authority accountable. Or, at least, acknowledge very publicly that there's an ongoing effort by the Brazilian police force to exterminate black and brown people, especially in Rio.

i feel so bad for black panther party. imagine being the only truly revolutionary vanguard (in communist sense) organization usa ever had to end up destroyed by fbi with multiple members still in jail to this day and then the empire you were fighting against made an utterly reactionary marvel movie named after you with your ideas of black nationalism/liberation and pan africanism flipped upside down to resemble something more like zionism. so now modern people associate black panther with that movie instead of you. and also the biggest black capitalist popstar in the world performed at the country's main jingoistic event appropriating your imagery for the good of empire.

It's just a pattern in a lot of youtubers where they'll call parts "chinesium" or complain about "cheap Chinese parts" alongside talking about how they got two of these FUCKING COMPUTERS for 4$, shipped across an ocean.

And it's like... Whenever there's a problem, they could just refer to the parts being cheap, or badly made, or whatever. There's no reason to specifically blame China/the Chinese, except for the fact it's become a standard slur in the electronics guys vocabulary.

Especially in a world where most electronics are made in China. Where is your MacBook made, again?

But it's only "Chinese" if it's cheap and crap? That's bullshit. Especially when you're the one who went to a Chinese store and asked for their cheapest crap.
