Rubix Logo 2

A simple logo I created for Rubix Nightclub. The design incorporates the letter R as well as the shape of a Rubix Cube

Rubix Font 

Here is a font I create to be used on any Rubix posters I am asked to create. This is the most simplified version of the font, as I have various colour and positional variations.

Minimal Cities

Inspired by some work created by Kirk Wallace, I attempted to try and create some Minimalism posters of various cities of importance to me. At this moment in time I have only completed Liverpool and Newcastle, but I intend to do several more.

Contours Logo - Design 1

I was tasked with creating a logo for the band ‘Contours’. Again, I was given complete creative freedom at first to create as many designs as I like, and then the artist would give feedback on the ones he liked.

Playing around with ideas revlolving around the several interpretations of the word ‘Contours’, one of the ideas I came up with was based on the idea that a contour was an outline, or something which had been bent around something to create something new. This led me to this design.

Kayak Logo - Design 1

Tasked with creating a logo for the band ‘Kayak’, the artist gave me no specific guidelines on what to create, so I was able to play around with whatever I wanted.

Aware that the band was described as ‘Hip-Hop, Soul fusion’, I decided to go with something simple and efficient, as you would see for most ‘underground’ acts today. Excited at the prospect of working with a palindrome, I immediaitely started sketching up ideas working around the idea of reflection. It was quickly apparent that I had identified a design I liked early on and it was just a matter of developing it.

After I had finished with the sketches, I started to transfer them into illustrator and create vectors of them all, constantly tweaking them as I went. Above is the final design I came up with.
