disability privilege is that i get to know when all the "surprise" fire drills are months ahead of time because my manager needs to be able to tell me to ignore them
These are possibly the best tags I've ever seen. Tomato schlorpus indeed
most avoidant woman in the world just had me & who in the tags
listen man I think people outside of the usa should be able to talk about problems with their healthcare systems without usamericans chiming in on it. "we have the same problems AND we have to pay for them" bestie theres a gender clinic in scotland with a two hundred year wait list
This is not a joke btw the glasgow gender clinic's waitlist is 224 years
Brennan mentions in Cooldown a rule of improv, where as soon as you realize you’re headed somewhere, you try to get there as soon as possible. Especially if the scene/story will really kick off after the thing you’re barreling toward.
It’s why he had the Wick reveal so soon and it’s such a good piece of advice for Actual Play and DMing in general. We want to get to the event that will kick the real story off! It helps the audience and players stay invested!
I also like that Cooldown is providing little behind the scenes game running tips like this.
ALL 👏 KILLER 👏 NO 👏 FILLER 👏
It's one of THE most important rules I've learned for Storytelling, and it runs specifically counter to a lot of the anti-railroading advice a lot of people get when they start DMing. So often DMs are AFRAID of being an overbearing storyteller that they never get around to telling their story at all, hiding it away in random encounters, behind skillchecks, or waiting for players to knock over the first domino.
op is posting from tamriel. or perhaps the lands between
just tell your transfem friends how much they mean to you and how important their presence is. ok?
every presence on my dash is loved and noticed and appreciated. my mutuals, my mutual in laws, the girls who have me blocked, the girls ive never heard of, the girls who lurk in your notes, the girls you never cross paths with. i cant imagine a world - online or otherwise - that isnt full of them. love it and appreciate it forever. especially especially if youre tme. please. our lives are brighter and better for it, always

the leftism leaving people's bodies when you tell them fat people are human and actually it's fucked up to say that your worst nightmare is to look like us
the leftism leaving people's bodies when you say that it's fine if fat people are also unhealthy. yes you can absolutely be extremely fit and healthy while being fat but it's also literally fine if that fat person is unhealthy
can't stop thinking abt this image. he smelled an icky smell and it was soscary
gripping you by the shoulders and shaking you. there is no such thing as being too gay to care about women. ok? that's just misogyny. being a trans guy/someone who used to live as a cis girl does not change this. it's not some gender affirming way of being into the homosexual identity because if a cis gay man said he was too gay to care about women we would rightly feed him to the sharks. you are not immune to misogyny on account of ever having lived as a girl. even girls can have internalized misogyny. and often, in the pursuit of attempting to create a distance between ourselves and being a girl, in the hope that we will be seen as not-a-girl, that misogyny becomes externalized and that's harmful. ok? you need to unpack and sort through why you "can't" care about women in media, because i promise you it is not because you are gay. most gay men i've known that are worth knowing are often people who are in fact more attached to women in media, because they have found a way to see themselves, because they see women as people and they see misogyny as oppression. in general, a good rule of thumb is that if you can only care about other people if you want to fuck them, you are at best an incredibly boring person to be around and at worst actively harming people whilst being ignorant to it, because you know what? it's not great to view anyone, media or real life, through an objectifyng lens. because when you reduce identities to objects you don't think twice about who you are abandoning on the shelf and who you are handling without care.
