Making sense of non-dualism as I go along

Just as a flower does not become a flower by blooming, you do not become whole by experiencing your desires. The flower blooms because it is already a flower. Likewise, your desires unfold from what you already are, not from what you are lacking.

The search to become someone else ends when you recognize that awareness itself is complete. You are awareness.

There is no difference from the awareness of the mental, imagination and physical. These three (mental, imagination, physical) are all things also arising in the field of awareness. You are awareness, these things exist because you are aware of them or know of them. Nothing can exist outside of the field of awareness. The physical is also an appearance arising within the field of awareness. What happens in the physical does not define who you are because you are awareness.

I repeat, desire is not a sign of lack. The only reason that you think so is from identification with a separate self that’s not even who you truly are. You are awareness, the knowing in which all things arise within it. However It’s this separate self that will see a desire and interpret in a way that confirms whatever ideas it already has about itself, which ideas are just thoughts that appear within awareness.

A desire is not a sign of lack but an arising of the truth of what you are and what you are is the knowing/awareness in which this desire appears within it. The only reason desire is viewed as lack because the separate self has labeled it as such. This separate self is made up of memories, labels, preconceived notions and ideas. However this separate self is not real, it’s an illusion because it also exists within knowing/awareness and again, you are knowing/awareness. All that which is known to us appears within knowing/awareness, such as thoughts, labels, preconceived notions, emotions, circumstances, etc. All the things I listed exist within awareness, are objects of awareness but awareness itself never changes and is not affected by what appears within it. You are this awareness/knowing which cannot truly be labeled. It is isness.

That desire is not denied to you at all.
