Wax Seal Charms
From simple love spells to glamours and hexes, wax seal charms are a powerful and versatile tool for any witchās arsenal. Small, inconspicuous, and easy to hide, these simple charms are useful for nearly any type of magick.
First, you will need a smooth work surface (I used the bottom of a ceramic bowl). Fold a small envelope from a square of paper. You want the envelope to be the same size as or smaller than the wax seal to ensure complete wax coverage.
Next, write your intent (or draw a sigil) on the inside of the envelope. Keep it simple or write very small.
You can add a small pinch of herbs (or a taglock) if you like, but try not to use too much or the charm wonāt flatten and may not seal correctly.
Once youāve added your herbs, fold the envelope shut. You may need to squish it a little to keep it closed.
Pour your wax over the envelope, making sure to cover any open edges, and place your stamp in the molten wax. Apply light pressure for a few moments and then allow to cool.
Once completely cool, remove your stamp and peel the charm off your work surface.
And voila! A small, portable charm that can easily be slipped into a purse or wallet unnoticed.
A lovely way to use my wax seal!!
What a novel idea.
Lughnasadh Recipe: Cinnamon Braid Bread [x]
Ingredients
2 ¼ cups flour
½ tsp salt
¾ cup lukewarm milk
1 tbspĀ sugar
15 gĀ fresh yeast (1 envelope active dry yeast)
1/8 cupĀ (30 g) melted butter
1Ā egg yolk
Filling
¼ cup (50 g) softened butter
4 or 5 tbspĀ sugar
3 tspĀ cinnamon
3 tspĀ grounded almonds or macadamias, optional
Directions
In a medium bowl stir yeast with sugar. Stir in the milk and then add the egg yolk and melted butter.
In a large bowl whisk together the flour and salt. Pour the milk mixture over the dry ingredients and start kneading it until it pulls away from the edges of the bowl. Give the dough the shape of a ball. Sprinkle oil onto a clean bowl, place the dough and cover with plastic wrap. Let it rest for about 1 hour at room temperature until doubled in size.
While the dough rises, whisk together the butter with sugar and cinnamon for the filling. Set aside.
Preheat the oven to 400 F (200 C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a floured surface, using a rolling pin roll the dough to a rectangle of about 18x12 inches.
Spoon the cinnamon filling over top (keep about 1 tbsp of the filling for the end), spreading evenly, leaving a clean ½-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle the nuts over the cinnamon filling.
Roll up the dough and using a sharp knife, cut the log in half length-wise stopping ½ inch from one end to keep it together.
Twist the two pieces, keeping the open layers exposed so the cut ends remain on top..Pinch the ends together and form a wreath.
Transfer it to the prepared baking sheet. Brush the wreath with the left cinnamon filling.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. For the last 10 minutes you can reduce the oven temperature to 180 C (350 F).

Not-so-friendly reminder for all witches
A lot of cheap crystals are mined by people who often can't even afford to feed themselves and their families and they have to work under horrible conditions. Furthermore, mining hurts the environment a great deal. I get that a lot of y'all love your crystals but please be aware of that and research where they're from and how they've been processed
Black Girl Magick Hair Potion
This one is for my Afro witches rocking their natural hair! I made this serum to spray on my hair before bed. Youāll need:
-full moon water (or new moon water) -your choice of leave in conditioner (I use Shea Moisture JBCO leave in) -your choice of oil (I use jamaican black castor oil) -spray bottle -rose water (optional)
Instructions: Pour about one cup of moon water into the spray bottle. Squeeze about ¼ cup of leave in conditioner into the spray bottle. Add a few drops of your choice of oil. If youāre using JBCO, remember that a little goes a long way and you donāt need a lot. The same goes for most other oils as well. You can add a few drops of rose water as well. After everything is in the spray bottle, shake it up! While youāre shaking, think about the intent. Do you want your hair to be shiny? To get to a certain length? To be a little more healthier? You shaking the mixture is charging the hair potion with intent!Ā
When itās all finished, spray away! I personally spray my hair with it before bed and then put my satin bonnet on. Keeps my hair nice and moisturized.Ā
I hope you enjoy!
Tarot Idea: Shuffle your deck. Take the cards from the very top and very bottom. The bottom is buried pain, whilst the top is divine advice.
Friendly reminder that being eclectic is not an excuse to appropriate from closed spiritual systems.
