How is Trucy?
Dear Pink-Laura30,
“Oh, Trucy’s al(w)right, thanks for asking.”
Yo
Yo, how's it hanging?
//Wow, really?! Thank you very much, and same to you!

"Hey, Apollo, you got a new case, huh? I suppose I could give you a couple of hints about it...", he grinned. He was currently sitting, not having the slightest clue about what he was going to do, or anything on the matter- working with Apollo seemed like a really good idea to him at the moment. It was nice to watch him and Trucy learn more, and grow up as well. They really were quite a good team.
"Hey, Miss Byrde...", Nick smiled, "Thank you very much for the coffee mug! It was very kind of you... Merry Christmas and Happy New Years too!"
~Nick Wright
"Thanks for following."
"Thank you for following."
"Apollo Justice?" The bizarrely ironic and heroic name lost it’s value on her, knowing more than a few people with punny names - herself not excluded. "I hope he can clear your name! It doesn’t seem fair that you should get in trouble for something like that…you’re too good, Nick!" Her hands flung up to her chest, tightening into tiny fists. "If you trust in him…I’ll trust in him, too!" She nodded her head, eyebrows furrowing. "If I can’t help out with the case…make sure to tell me when it is! I’ll make a big banner and sit in the crowd!" Her arms lowered by her side, face softening. "And once you’re name’s cleared, things won’t have to be sad." Or, that’s what she thought. Though in all honesty, innocence had never been something that kept the bad times away. It was something the two of them should have known especially. "But hey! It…it’s good to see you! We shouldn’t talk about sad stuff." Putting her hands on her hips, head tilting back just a bit, she gave a wide grin. "We should go get burgers!" Tilting to one side, her head nearly resting on her shoulders, she lifted her eyebrows. "It can be on me today!”
He smiled at her understanding, yet he could not help but feel bad about the situation. He was so happy and so fortunate to have people like Maya in his life, but now he was telling her that he needed her to wait for a miracle when she offered time and again to help. He felt guilty, "Thank you, Maya", he said smiling.
"Of course", he chuckled, "You'll be the first one I'm telling, and that's something I'll promise you. I want you to meet him and Trucy, too, if that's alright.", he offered his hand to her, "Things aren't that sad anymore, Maya. I have my daughter, I have my friends, Pearls, and you."
He almost felt selfish for his words. He was pretty confident in his case being in their favor, but there was always a chance. 'Agh, Wright, what happened to you...', he thought.
"Yes... It's good to see you too.", he said gratefully, deciding not to dwell on the subject of 'sad stuff', and instead replied to her comment on burgers, "On you?", he asked, "I can still treat you, y'know. Just to have it like old times.", he insisted.
"Yeah, likewise, Miss Byrde…", he smiled, "So how have you been lately? Alright, I hope?"
"Just been preparing for the holiday season, and attempting to gain as minimal of injuries that I can, sir! Say, would you like a Christmas present? I went shopping the other day, and I bought a couple of things I shouldn’t have… besides, it’d be a nice way to repay you for what you’ve done for me!"
"Oh, really?", the older man said, amused, "Injuries? I hope you aren't doing anything too strenuous-- or dangerous for that matter..."
"A Christmas present, you say? That's very kind or you, Miss Byrde...", he smiled, "Are you sure?"
"Thanks for following, sir", the man said. He glanced for a moment, trying not to look too hard, 'This man looks so much like…’
"…Is there something wrong, sir? You keep looking at me… rather in depth."
'Oops... caught', he blinked, "I apologize for staring, sir... You look like someone that my friend used to know...", he said non-suspiciously, knowing all too well who the man before him looked like, yet he still could not even believe his eyes was this man really him?
"Ah, but where did I place my manners", he said, trying to make polite conversation, "My name is Nick."
"Thanks for following, sir", the man said. He glanced for a moment, trying not to look too hard, 'This man looks so much like...'
Aren’t you…? Miss Byrde?
"Thanks for following."
"No problem, sir! It’s a pleasure to be in your presence, and I hope my following of you grants you well!"
"Yeah, likewise, Miss Byrde...", he smiled, "So how have you been lately? Alright, I hope?"
Aren't you...? Miss Byrde?
"Thanks for following."
He watched go into the state of shock, which he seemed all too prepared for, what with having dealt with Apollo and a few others, but the way Maya reacted… felt different. He could feel a sense of sadness creeping up on him that he had never felt in a long time…
The man paused hearing her frantically asking him questions it was so kind of her to still care so much about him. His arm raised and touched her shoulder, “Maya… maybe I wouldn’t do that, maybe I would… but everything goes in moderation… It’s… not really something I can explain, but I feel as though someone else will do that soon”, he knew it sounded silly the way he explained it, and he probably didn’t even explain it well enough for anyone to understand, including himself, but what other way was there to tell her, ‘I have a new student and he’ll prove my innocence’? It sounded a little far-fetched, not to mention strange…
He tilted his head to the side a bit, “Quiz me?”, he smiled a little, “Maybe… when the time comes, I hope, but now’s not the right time…”
Her enthusiastic fists lowered slightly once the comforting hand has rested on her shoulder. She didn’t really understand - someone else? The right time? Any time seemed like the right time to her! After all, if you’re innocent you should prove it right away! Shouldn’t you? And if this had happened just after she had last been with him…that would have meant he had been seen as guilty for around seven years. That didn’t seem fair. "Who’s the someone else? What are they going to do? I can help, Nick!" She nearly whined the man’s nickname, giving her fists a strong shake. It was in her nature to help - whether that help was wanted or not. After all, she hadn’t spent so many years helping Nick with his cases for no reason! "I don’t get it…" Puffing out her cheeks, making the now twenty-seven year old girl’s face look nearly as young as she had when she first met him. "Why isn’t now alright? If we work hard we could get it done right away!" Her hands lifted into the air, to add a greater emphasis to her point. Giving a small pause for effect, she finally lowered her hands, her head tilting to the side. “And you look so sad now.” Sure, he hadn’t always been happy before…but he didn’t look as down as he did now. The Nick she remembered didn’t get so down.
Nick watched her arms go into a slightly more relaxed position as he let out a small sigh. It was probably very difficult for her to understand why he couldn't be innocent now. Sure, it was something he was eagerly waiting for as well, but he didn't feel completely rushed to do it.
"The someone else is a young man by the name Apollo Justice. Now, you may not have heard of him, but you might've heard him. His voice is pretty loud and piercing if not raspy at times. He's clad in red with his attorney's badge on his vest.", he clarified for her. Nick had a lot of faith put into the young man as the lawyer was, well, very new so far. "There was a case he received that will prove my innocence.", he looked at her after her frustrated and determined comment, "I know you can help, Maya.", he says with a small smile, "but... I feel that it would be better for him to handle this case on his own."
He gave a light chuckle at the reminiscent expression on his partner's face, "Unfortunately, I can't seem to find words to explain why now isn't the best time.", he said tilting his head slightly to match her.
"Sad, huh...", he said adjusting his beanie, "Hard times is all, I guess.", he joked, offering a grin.
A man with 8 children is traveling by train. A lady asked: "Are they your children?" Man: "No Madam! Actually I am the owner of a condom company and they are the complaints of my customers."
(Okay… What does this have to do with me? Wait… Perhaps it’s best not to know…)
"Okay…"
When was the last time you cried?
"I… I’m not really an emotional person nowadays, I suppose… I don’t think I’ve cried since my lawyer days…"
What are you ethnicity wise, phoenix. U look Italian to me :D
"Well", he began, "Technically I’m American, but I’m not quite sure of my other origins"
(If you live in America, he is American and in Japan, Japanese)
