Something in the Air Tonight

Dear Sailsbot,

This year’s ACL Festival was great! I jammed out to some great bands, got dust all up in my wiggly bits and found out that me and the Foo Fighters get colonics at the same place. Also I think I maybe found my soul mate--someone who’s just super sharp and shiny and new and isn’t afraid to express their opinion. The one hitch is, they’re a robot with knives for hands. I’m cool with it but I don’t know how to tell my parents. How do I even start that conversation?

Deception, Thy Name is Fluffy

Dear Sailsbot,

It’s like this: my girlfriend of seven years gave me this cat, thinking it would soften me up and get me to stop punching lampposts. Then she broke up with me anyway, plus it turns out the cat was just a magazine ad for Meow Mix taped to a cardboard box with a buncha rocks inside. I spent all this money on shots for it and everything. Totes bummed. Should I get a new tattoo, or just go punch a lamppost?

Children of Men

Dear Sailsbot,

I know the old saying, “it’s never the right time to have children”, but now more than ever I’m concerned about bringing a new life into this world. My husband really wants to start a family, and the village elders are constantly giving my flat belly dirty looks, but I’m just not sure I want my son or daughter to grow up in an environment where you still have to pay money to watch the major league playoffs while waiting for your food to be delivered from your choice of only THREE different on-demand services. How do I tell my husband and pets I’m not ready, without hurting their feelings?

Kitchen Confidential

Dear Sailsbot,

I’m looking to completely redecorate my kitchen after a sudden windfall (i.e. death in the family). I still love the look of granite countertops, but everyone (i.e. banner ads on Facebook) keeps telling me that granite is “out” and I should go for an “arctic white” finish! Should I stick with my gut, or trust Facebook to help me pick out a lasting decor?
