All aboard the spirit train, where rogues, renegades, and mobians without home games reside, offered residence by a mysterious figure taking the form of Sonic, known only as The Conductor.

This page will host comics, lore, character spotlights, and asks for the many faces aboard the spirit train.

Questions for any character aboard the train are welcome! There's no real "main character" of the AU, so :)

Shipping asks are ok! We have very few canon ships!

Character Spotlight #7: Hyper

HEY SLUTS WE'RE SO BACK <3

Hyper hails from a modded copy of Sonic 3 that allowed the player to play as Metal Sonic. The game glitched out during the Hyper Sonic levels, trapping Metal in that state, but also giving them a realization. Of themself, their consciousness, and their very existence. They now stand as the sole protector of the super emeralds, disappearing into the code and onto the train to protect the gems and their immense power. They also just. Space out a lot. Self awareness comes with a lot to think about!

Hyper is very happy to take questions! They may need someone else's help to answer, however, since they can't exactly talk...

Character Spotlight #6: Sparks and Tides

Versions of Surge and Kitsunami who were modded into a copy of Sonic 2 in the place of Sonic and Tails, just for their player to get electrocuted by the console due to the faulty gameshark cartridge they were using, killing the two in the process. It left them both with cool electricity powers though! They're completely inseparable these days, though it's moreso Tides clinging onto Sparks for guidance

Sparks and Tides both are happy to take questions, though Sparks will probably be answering for Tides rather than him answering for himself. No hard feelings, we promise! He just hates people.

Character Spotlight #5: Team Chaotix

From the same copy of Sonic Heroes as Overlord, Team Chaotix were stuck as the only playable characters in the game, much to everyone's dismay. Instead of dealing with it normally, however, the player continued to reset and retry in an attempt to fix the game, breaking Chaotix down until they became mere shells of their former selves, and were still stuck as the sole characters to beat the game with...

Psi would much rather be left alone. Vex and Amor, however, do take questions!

Character Spotlight #4: The Metal Overlord

//hey chat mod mephiles here. Ignore the fact that i posted nothing between the last character spotlight and this. I got sick this week and havent been able to draw, and I didn't wanna put any pressure on my co-mods! So good stuff is comin soon. but for now. fuckass dragon//

Metal Overlord comes from an extremely bugged copy of Sonic Heroes, where after his defeat, he was unable to switch back into his original form. He's since been conscripted as the train's security, guarding the caboose to make sure nothing unwelcome makes it on, and no one unhappy can make it off. And yes, you will be fed to the dragon if you try and escape.

Overlord does take questions, but we can't promise that he'll actually answer them.

Character Spotlight 3: Sonia and Manic

United at the hip, the siblings boarded the train together after their copy of Sonic Underground was corrupted and altered, and they're hardly able to be separated. Both are exceptionally positive folks, though Sonia is a bit more courteous and cautious with how she interacts than Manic is. Which isn't a hard bar to surpass, considering Manic is still a thief and a menace... anyways.

Both Sonia and Manic love people, and are happy to accept questions!

Terios who are you close to there mainly? out of everyone on the train.

"Between you and me, I think he only bonds with the other Shadows because after he found out how much Infinite hates his Shadow, Terios convinced the other 3 to help him torment him. But hey, at least Azzy is his real friend" -- The Conductor

"He's just a little grumpy and might need Azzy to translate for him, but yeah, Terios actually likes it when people engage with him! Even if he acts like he hates everything and everyone. See buddy, being an asshole makes people interested in you! Apparently...." - Conductor

Character Spotlight 2: Azzy

The resident therapist and strange space hedgehog, Azzy has the most elusive backstory of anyone on the train, considering he literally just... spawned one day. All things considered, though, it's hard not to love him! Just look at him!

Azzy is a-okay with receiving asks (even if he gives vague ass answers)
