I realized this catch 22 in video gaming/comics where:

if a female character is written in a way that they are plot important and get a lot of screentime/development in any manner except traditionally feminine they’re ‘overpowered’ or the the IP is ‘trying to be overly politically correct’

otherwise it's 'this character is useless/a bitch/insert slur' chat forever
