My favourite newly learned animal facts!!

Foxes have a protein in their eye that tells them when they’re aligned towards north!! When they’re aligned to north, they pounce on their prey with a 74% success rate, which goes down to 18% if aligned in any other direction

Green sea turtles get their colour from eating algae and sea grasses

Frogs often give the appearance of blinking whilst they eat, which is because they actually use their eyes to help them eat!! They do this by retracting their eyes into their mouth, to help push the food got he back of their throats

Squirrels deposit their food across hundreds or thousands of locations in preparation for winter, and also dig fake holes with nothing in them, so that their food harder for other animals to steal

Chameleons have incredibly eyesight!! Not only do they have a full 360° of vision, but they also have telescopic vision, meaning they can ‘zoom in’ on distant objects and see them with extreme clarity and detail!!
