The attach tabs on the 1995 SL320 are different. You can attach on the while indented area or right behind it. Took a while to get out the 30 year old dash to replace a bulb that was dim.

Changed the coolant. It was clear so I didn't flush.
Replaced downstream O2 sensors, originals were still there at 105k miles. Was getting lean mixture errors.
Added tweeters to the dash to complement the Bose sound system.
Evaporator temp sensor replaced. HVAC was shutting off due to incorrect temp being measured.
New Cocomats
Gas cap replaced, seal was starting to crack. Still need to get pin for retaining strap.
Installed Silver Arrow pedals
Rear brake rotor replacement on the SL500. Old ones were extremely rusty and had to use a 3 lbs hammer along with half a can of PB Blaster.
Strut mount and bump stop boot replacement. The old ones were really worn out and a hazard.
JBL GTO608c speaker upgrade with Sony MEX-XB100BT and no cutting the stock system.
M113 V8 engine swap possibilities for the 99-02 SL500.
Revealed the right breather cover. Also replaced 3 hoses which were in very bad shape. Letting it dry now and tomorrow I’ll test for leaks.
Left side breather cover resealed. Took a while to get the old sealant off, ended up using a pen cap. Also changed the hose behind it.
Applied Leatherique Rejuvinator and Prestine Clean. Probably the best leather treatment out there.
I have been trying to reset my FSS counter following the steps is the manual to no avail. I have a 01/99 MY so I don't get the DAS program benefits .
Oil leak finally identified. It's the breather on the valve cover. This is a simpler job than replacing the 2 valve cover gaskets. I'll get the gasket for the breather as well as the hoses next.
