Angst for the baby au Burning Spice Cookie >:3c
Nothing too fancy, i don't think, but hear me out.
You mentioned how sometimes the cookies will slip into a smaller mindset given their circumstance.
What if Burning Spice in this state is a lot more unresponsive or prone to emotional outbursts (meaning as in both have a 50/50 depending on how he's holding up)?
To me, Burning Spice reads me as someone with a pretty self destructive depression, so whenever the 50/50 lands on his unresponsive state, he's just straight up ignoring others, he doesn't even bother trying to cause destruction or chew on anything because he's completely drained, and in a baby-mode, he's worse off than usually he would. As when he was an adult, he could just go hunting or destroy something to occupy his mind, as a baby dough, he has no motivation, and his head is hella fuzzy, he's prone to just cry without noticing. Which is why he'll probably hide(?) much to Nutmeg's stress.
When the 50/50 lands on emotional outbursts, i think it's the second part of this numb state, where he suddendly is irritated with everyone and everything, which makes him prone to throw "tantrums" (they arent exactly that, but thats a simple word i think) or prone to breaking stuff, chewing on things and- you guessed it! Being a lot less careful, he thankfully doesn't get hurt given the amount of babyproof around his frequent spots, but he still has managed to get hurt because he underestimates his baby dough form, and given the baby mind state, he just does what instictively he knows will "calm him down" just that, as a baby dough... It backfires.
This might not be the most on-point thing ever, i don't know much of child phsychology or how would that translate, but i've known age regressors (caretaker here, hi!) and how prone to respond to their "big feelings" in their littlespace they can be on bad days, i've used that as a reference. Hopefully thats okay!!
" Nothing too fancy" and then you send me like 2 whole paragraphs XD
Anyway, seems like y'all really want to see burning spice cry, so I'll gladly provide
Honestly, I think it's less of a 50/50, and more those things happening right after the other. He'll get incredibly frustrated with something, ends up hurting himself when trying to vent out his frustrations, and then just feels very drained and numb afterwards
