so when it comes to ivypools children i believe bristlefrost was the one who was most affected by ivypools behaviour, my particular thoughts of ivypool as a mother is that she indeed ended up regretting the choice, given that it was just a conformist thing for her, she struggles feeling any connection to her children, she'll be there for them if necessary, she'll fix their beddings if they break them, but she doesn't get emotionally involved with them, bristlefrost does notice this. In a way bristlefrosts arc mirrors ivypools a lot, a lot of bristlefrost's personality does infact, this is precisely the thing she was unintentionally taught by ivy, to serve her clan and to conform to it's expectations. She ought to have at some point in youth known about her mothers past, and despite that, that knowledge didn't save her from being manipulated herself. Because through the clans lens ivypools wrongdoing was alliating with the dark forest, thus betraying her leader and her clan, so if bristlefrost always obeys her leader, nothing bad would happen right? because the sin is non conformity, conforming must be what saves her. Something that i don't remember where it was mentioned in the books is that bristlefrost is extremely resemblant of dovewing, and this also affects their relationship seeing as ivypool will often project dovewing onto her (ESPECIALLY during her relationship with rootpaw/spring) which bleeds onto her treatment of her, she doesn't actually want bristle to ever leave thunderclan, because it'll be like when dovewing left all over again. All in all, bristlefrost wants to live up what she believes ivypool would consider a successful daughter, in a way to compensate the harrowing feeling that she was an undesired child
