Recently whenever is see a great piece of art, I would get jealous of their ability to make art. I just wished I would magically get the ability to make anything more than a crappy stick figure. I've tried to get better at art, but everytime I did i would discourage myself because it didn't look perfect.

Well I just started practicing drawing and practicing taking pride in the shitty little drawings and crooked lines I make. It'll be a long process and take a lot of dedication.

If anyone has any tips on how to improve that would great. Right now, I'm just practicing connecting two lines and circles.

I keep seeing how because NASA used the Navy to pickup Integrity that it confirms that the Artemis II is American imperialist propaganda and it pisses me off.

They use the Navy for logistical reasons. NASA has been using the Navy for recoveries since the Murcury missions. It's so much easier and to land in the ocean than aim for land. Guess what else is in the ocean? The Navy. Who already has boats that can easily retrieve crew and craft? The Navy. Who has trained people for search and rescue? The Navy. So why not use them? You also have to remember that NASA is a government agency that has to get approval to do basically anything. They use the Navy because its cheaper and easier than getting approval to build new boats.

In short, its easier and to use a pre-existing entity of the government with a nearly bottomless buget than try to stretch their already dwindling budget to design and build new boats and train specific people.

Having a fascist president does NOT make every NASA scientist or project fascist, but that's what the leftist moral police want you to believe for some reason.

Trump has been actively defunding NASA in favor of private space companies. Did you want NASA to just halt all their plans and keel over until he’s gone? Let the private space companies who have very little regulations and care more about profit than anything spearhead scientific exploration? NASA is doing this in spite of Trump.

People who are inspired by this mission are not falling for some meticulously planned propaganda, you are just jaded (understandably so) and chronically online, leading you to overlook nuance and fall into extremes.

Morally policing what people can and can't enjoy is the fascist pipeline you are afraid we're on.

You are perpetuating the divisive mindset the fascists wanted to sow. I am desperately asking you to understand that not everything in this world can fall into a perfectly neat right/wrong binary.

So I was talking to my therapist about how the Artemis II mission and how happy it made me feel. She challenged me to think on why it did and I said that it was a little glimpse of hope in this time of war and suffering. She then challenged me to find other glimpses of hope after the mission is completed. I just wanted to extend that challenge to everone out there. Yes there is a lot of negativity, but there is a lot of little spots of light that can keep you from spiraling.

I kinda hope one of the crew members has a Tumblr and reads through this entire tag seeing all the love and support for their mission. I hope they see all the people they've inspired to keep going in these times, bc im one of them. They have accomplished such an amazing feat and pushed us ever further into the future.
