New side blog for a story I'm writing about a clan of cannibal cats. Everything will be tagged, but if this premise makes you uncomfortable I would prefer you block the blog right away. Twinberry is the Painter of Histories in RootClan. Their job is to record and recite the history of the valley. It's a highly respected job within RootClan and RootClan is the only Clan to practice this method of history. The other Clans have oral traditions only.

The Painter works alongside the Medicine Cat to help interpret signs from StarClan although the Painter receives no visions or signs from StarClan directly. Their deep knowledge of the land's history helps guide the Medicine Cat, as well as the Clan Leader in making important decisions.

Twinberry often gets very absorbed in their work and forgets to eat or sleep. They are very outgoing and eager to share their knowledge with anyone who enters the cave. Their favorite story to tell is of the Time of Falling Stars. They also mix their own paints from pigments derived from berries, soil and plants. Their coat color is white with a black tail and stripe up the back. They are often splattered in paint. Twinberry is polydactyl in their front two paws in the "mittens" configuration.

The first post on this side blog will be for Threestar and his deputy Blazeclaw. These two are part of a longer fic I’m drafting with all original characters in an original setting. The idea is that they’re from a Clan that wastes no part of a fallen clanmate. They eat the flesh, use the bones for building, and line their dens with the furs, etc. The idea is that a fallen clanmate will continue to serve and comfort and the living long after their death. The clan’s tentative name is RootClan. They live in a river valley with RidgeClan and GrassClan. Obviously the other Clan’s aren’t too enthusiastic about their culture and tend to avoid them. But since they aren’t technically breaking Warrior Code they can’t exactly make them stop. So they still get invited to gatherings and their territory boundaries stay respected. (Well as respected as you can get in the world of Warrior Cats) Threestar is a kind leader, who is very loyal to his Clan above all else. He’s good in a fight and shouldn’t be underestimated. While he can look scary, he understands that his Clan walks a thin line and respects the other cats outward disgust towards them. He knows that not every cat will understand their way of life, and he makes an effort not to fight about it. He’s a reddish brown, think red abyssinian with a white throat, chest and stomach. His eyes are green, and he has a darker red stripe down the back and a dark tail tip. He was born with three legs naturally, it was not a battle injury. Blazeclaw is his deputy. She provides the sternness that is often missing from Threestar’s leadership. But deep down she is also a kindhearted cat. She’s big. Like really big. Massive. She is built like a tank and everyone knows it. Despite this, she can be one of the most gentle cats you’ll ever meet. But she’ll also tear your throat out if you threaten her family. She’s a deep red color, not typical orange tabby, red like rust. With her markings being way deeper in color than the background. Her eyes are amber.
