I am a nature-obsessed girl who reads and writes a little too often. I am a fan of classic literature, poetry, and philosophy. My goal is to become a 6th grade teacher! . My mother was a writer and now I am, too (except in the opposite way).
I am a fan of rustic things and anything green/brown/black/copper/orange. Nature is my favorite thing to be around. I am a collector of bones, rocks, trinkets, MTG/Pokemon cards, and books. I am a musician, and know how to play French Horn, Trumpet + Cornet, and mallet instruments as well as general ability on tuba, baritone, and most typical drums.
Here are some things to be aware of with my poetry!
"Dreams of Faeries and Leaves" is a series made of poems in pairs. Each one will have it's own title the same as it's partner, and have numbers indicating the difference. The first is chaotic, filled with loose associations and looking at the "tails" of the metaphorical coin. The second one is more organized, but just barely (usually) and is looking at the "heads" of the coin. Each is about the same idea or subject from two different perspectives.
I SHOULD start posting again semi-normally!
I don't make a lot of sense
Here are some things about me that may give you an eye into my work!
I have FCAS (Familial Cold Autoinflammatory Syndrome). This is a genetic mutation that directly effects my joints, ligaments, and muscles. Essentially, it physically hurts me to be cold. This is a major topic in my works.
I was raised in the woods most of my childhood. My days were spent outside on my own playing and talking to the trees, river, wind, and my cats. this has formed my talking and writing style to be very secluded, sometimes rambly, and very relative to nature.
the trees you grew up with have not forgotten you. their branches still whisper your name in the breeze and their roots remember the paths your feet once traced through their shade.
Do drops of me cling to your atmosphere?
I linger as mist in your indigo sky
You no longer ask me for anything
I'm still trying to promise you everything
