Kinky Boots Japan. Watch them perform some number from the hit Broadway musical here.
I want to listen to Haruma’s ‘Hold Me In Your Heart’ <3
But it’s unlikely to be revealed so we international fans will have to wait for the DVD release (they’re gonna release it, right, right?) next year.
Miura Haruma’s Q&A on GOLD (04.27.2015)
*Thanks to haruyutaka-san for the images and transcription.
I came across an interesting short interview around the time Haruma was preparing for “Orpheus Descending” and translated it. (The interview got nothing to do with my rambling below so you can skip it and press ‘keep reading’ for the interview only)
I actually read the original script of Tennessee Williams just because I wanted to know what kind of role he got to play. Boy, oh boy, it was not an easy read at all. On the surface, it may sound like a love story but it deals with such complex themes, not to mention all of those southern culture, language tones, slang and historical references. I can not imagine how they can adapt all those things into Japanese version. It’s pretty safe to assume that the play is the most complex thing Haru’s ever been in his entire career. Sadly, let’s just face that it is too heavy to be marketable, so there won’t be any DVD release. And Haru’s portrayal of Val will remain a mystery to me forever…

Kinky Boots Curtain Call
So I read on twitter that during the curtain call of this evening’s show, Haruma got his head hit the wall while waving good bye to the audience. *ouch* He then reassured everyone that it was unexpected but he’s alright with a big smile. I think I can imagine how cute that was
