We are adults, use the correct words.
Hate the actions, the perpetrators, but do not allow them to take the power of words.
Do not fear swear words, or descriptive words. Use the correct names for body parts.
Fearing words leads to censorship, book burning, and fascism. Do not agree to censor your life on command.
Don't make something as horrible as rape into a cute buzzword. It's awful, it's horrible. The word should bother you, it should trigger you, it should shame the abuser.
Saying "grape" instead is saying it wasn't that bad, it wasn't anything that can't be covered up, avoided, ignored. Do NOT LET THEM TAKE THE POWER OUT OF YOUR WORDS.
Saying "unalived" has no point, life is finite. It's one of the few things every person, animal, and plant have in common, we are all going to die.
Some of us will live long enough that our cause of death will be a footnote next to a ripe old age, some of us will die too soon, some of us will, unfortunately die by suicide.
Say Dead, say Death, say Died. Don't cheapen someone's life by making it sound like they accidentally forgot to keep living. Or they did something wrong and could have lived forever somehow.
We all die. And it's okay. That's how life goes, stay as long as you can, try to live well, but nothing can make your stay infinite.
Language is a beautiful thing, and the ways that humans have come up with to sing about our shared experiences together is a fantastic thing.
Do not let anyone take the power out of your words.
