They say that opposites attract. But we were never opposites, we were too much alike. And I feel that that’s the reason why you always get mad. You always think I’m a competition. Whenever we’re together, I feel that you’re not that interested compared to when we’re with our friends. When I’m having fun with them, you’re not. When you’re having fun with them, I’m not. Why can’t we both have fun? I really wish you can enjoy my company alone since I always look forward to hanging out with you.

My heart waits so long for you

I stretch it out as much as I can

But is it enough?

You always wait long enough for it to snap

How many more can I make out of myself?

Until I have nothing left of me

You never fail to make me feel left out

You have so many faces for different people

Which often not include me

I wonder what face I get to see

Since ever so often you forget to face me

I just want to feel needed

To feel that someone’s excited to see me

To long for me after a tiring day

Is it too much to ask

Gone where the days we look forward to seeing each other

Or was it just me

I just want to feel love and needed

Like the love we felt before

The love we did not take for granted

Everytime I’m overwhelmed by my emotions

I think, do I want this feeling or do I want to become numb?

No matter how much I’m hurting, I think to myself that I’d rather feel something than to feel nothing.

What makes me human is that I feel something, so much pain, anger, and solitude

But if I write them down, will it be real then?

But If I keep them to myself, will it eat me up instead?

To be consumed or to deny?

Yes we’re always together

But we’re getting further away more than ever

We value quantity over quality

It has been a routine not a priority

It saddens me because we’re too far to go back now

We’re in too deep

We’re drowning

No one can save us if we don’t let go of each other

Adulting

To be honest, ever since I started working, I didn’t think I would be having problems financially. But now that I somewhat am becoming independent financially, it sucks. I want to take care of myself, get mani pedis, get my hair done, buy clothes and shoes. But I can’t. I need to save up. I’m being so selfish about this. I don’t even give my mom money. I’m just having a hard time not getting what I want. I have to have a simple eye and not spend so much on things that I want. So that means no shopping for now. Until I get married. Sad but it’s how I get what I really want in life. To marry the love of my life. Atleast that’s permanent.
