i just want to say this is 1) excellent and 2) not uncommon…i work at a vet clinic and some of the names are so fuckin weird but i love it???? clients will be like “we call her stevie. it’s short for death metal steve” or “this is turkey but his LEGAL name is scarecrow jones” thank u

Consuming and creating fanfic is so weird cause like, the last fandom I was in before It consumed my soul was Good Omens after the BBC show came out and every fic I read had the vibes of "yes the show was great, we all loved it, we just want a bit more story, a bit more detail, what happened next, what happened in between" but now everything It related is more like a fandom collectively yanking the Losers out of sking's hands and going "No! You're doing it wrong!"

Anyway, which of your fandoms is like a love letter to canon and which is the application for legal custody of the characters?
