Maturity V.S Immaturity

For the past few years I’ve been called a lot of things. Small, annoying, weird, and immature. I always thought to myself that when I grew up I would just naturally mature. I tried so hard to mature when I wasn’t ready to. It never worked out. Now, here I am. 18. And mature.

WHY IT SUCKS

I have a little brother and he’s made me more annoyed than a lot of people. But he was also very immature. I have my moments. I can be weird and childish. But is maturity what I really wanted? I don’t like this. Yes, it’s attractive being mature. But so is being yourself. I have a shorter temper and get annoyed easily. I don’t want this. I thought I did. But I don’t.

IT’S NOT EASY

Now, you may be thinking “just go back to the way you were” but it’s not that simple. I wish I can just go back to being weird. It’s not the real world. It’s me. I want to be this immature adult and although I am in some parts, I realize that no matter what, you’re gonna grow up. All I have to say is don’t lose yourself. I wanna be weird. I’m not gonna force it.

The State Of YouTube: Drama

THE BRIGHTNESS

Youtube is my home. I love YouTube. I’ve been using it for 10 years and it has given me things that I can’t even describe. Like boners. But YouTube has changed. In 2013 the only controversy YouTube had was when people uploaded gaming videos and got paid BANK for it. 2012-2013 YouTube was my favorite. I liked all the YouTubers. PewDiePie, Shane Dawson, Smosh, Dashiexp, etc. It was literally a place where you can watch other people do other things. It was literally a place to create. No censorship, no one telling you what to do. Just you entertaining people in front of a camera. Then came 2016.

THE RISE AND FALL

YouTube changed a lot 2 years ago. Back when someone called you out or threw shade at you you would either ignore it or privately message them so you can work things out. Nowadays, we have people making full on videos attacking said character. And it’s bullshit. I don’t care what the argument is. I don’t care who’s right. You have this platform only I could dream of. You have fans who would do anything for you. You have a stable job that let’s you stay home. You don’t even need to wear pants. And what do you do with those fans? You make a video about someone just because they were talking shit (Keemstar, Leafy) behind your back and send your fans like hungry dogs to another channel to harrass people. Like, really? Are you kidding me? A guy talked shit. WOW. CALL THE POLICE. Grow up. YouTube is no longer a place to just create. Because there are literally people who thrive for drama. They crave it. Listen. I’m fine with mild drama. I don’t care if you said this or that. But what I don’t like is when you make dedicated videos to people not even thinking about “hmm i have a lot of fans. This could potentially ruin a reputation, or even worse, a career.....oh well”. YouTube is now just a bunch of grown men yelling at each other. So. To all the people who like drama, try to stir it, you suck. I hope it was worth it.
