Halt and Catch Fire

“The Guardian” said that it was the best show that nobody had watched.

I know press is dying, but this person was right.

Don’t be nobody, go and watch “Halt and Catch Fire”. Especially, if you’re into technology, comupters and stuff.

I finished it today. And for the most of the time I had a really good time.

4 seasons, 10 episodes in each.

Just do it.

Parks and Recreation

Recently, I’ve been rewatching Parks and Rec. It used to be my favorite comedy, but then Brooklyn Nine-Nine happened.

I’m now after the half of 6th season and I got to tell you - I’ve changed my mind.

Parks and Recreation is the best.

The Blacklist

I’ve finished catching up with The Blacklist today. It’s cool show, with funny black character that is kinda easy to like. It’s not a crime to like a bad guy, isn’t it? But maybe Mr. Reddington (James Spader) shoudn’t kill people that often...

Season 5th is about him trying to rebuild his criminal empire, so it’s surely a diffrent take on this show. It’s still good and sometimes funny - mostly because of the character played by him.

One thing that I miss is... Sorry for saying that... Agent Keen (Megan Boome) being on the run. She looked so good in blonde.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

This week I’ve finally caught up with this show. It’s one of ma favorite and it’s from makers of Parks and Recreation which I thought was the best comedy show I will ever watch. I was wrong, because Brooklyn Nine-Nine happened.

Why? Well, because I don’t rembemer when I laugh that much like when I watched s05e03. But overall, it’s just a decent comedy, which tells the story of Precinct 99 which is located, of course, in Brooklyn, New York. 

It’s hard to find comedy which is funny, but it’s one of them. With episodes which last about 20 minutes you won’t get bored even if you will watch more than one at the time. And believe me, you will.

P.S. Sorry that I haven’t been writing recently... I didn’t watch that many tv-shows recently. But I’ll try to get better.

Outcast   

I don’t really watch horrors. I’ve started this show because I saw it on TV and it was pretty good. It’s from creators of The Walking Dead, which I didn’t watch and I probably won’t do it.

I still got 2 episodes of 2nd season to watch and I’ll probably do it soon. If you’re into watching people being possessed (XD) you should check it out. It’s based on the comic book, but it has nothing to do with your beloved Marvel.

It’s quite interesting and sometimes brutal. It tells a story of a man who has a gift. But his not the only one who can defeat the forces of darkness.

Game of Thrones

People on the Internet lie. But not me… Or at least I didn’t lie yesterday. Let’s cover Game of Thrones.

I’ve watched 4th episode today and it was good. Dragons, diplomacy, homecoming... And other things, but you don’t want spoilers, do you?

I think that episodes of  tv-shows shouldn’t be longer than 45.  Sometimes it’s a problem for me to watch something which is longer – and that may be a reason for not watching GoT just after it was released. I remember that, in case of at least one season, it took me a few months to finish it. So believe me when I tell you, because it’s  the first time in the recorded history – the latest episode of this show was TOO SHORT.  And I watch the next one with pleasure.

To be honest, I’ve started to enjoy it more with 6th. After watching the 1st one from that season, I saw an article online with some fan theories or something like that and then I got a little bit more excited.

That’s all. It was me, writing about fantasy again. Sorry!

Suits

Today I’ve decided to catch up with Suits and Game of Thrones (well, I still have the 4th episode to watch), but I don’t think that writing about them in one post is a good idea. So, maybe tomorrow I’ll cover GoT.

In case of both shows the season which is airing right now is the 7th, but that’s the only thing they have in common. Suit tells a story of a guy with mnemonic memory who decided to become a fraud lawyer and was very successful at it, but you probably have known it already.

Let me tell you what I like about it – it’s not a comedy, but sometimes it can be funny. It’s because of some unique characters like Louis or Donna. The rest of them is also charismatic. This show can be intense – there’s a lot of action, but of course not in the Mission Impossible way. Still, it’s one of not so many tv-shows that I usually watch with no delay. Sometimes I think that the targeted audience for this show are women, but well... I don’t care, I still watch it and enjoy it.

Ballers

I don’t really like sport. But I like comedies and tv-shows. Also, I used to have HBO GO and I wanted to use it to the fullest. One day I decided to give Ballers a try.

Main character in this show, as you see on the thumbnail, is a former wrestler named Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. He isn’t the president of the USA yet, so he has to do something with his time. 

Set in Miami, Ballers is a show which tells a story of professional football players (not soccer!), their families, friends and handlers. It focuses not only on business and sport, but also family life and other stuff. I’ve caught up on 3 episodes of the new season today and I’ve enjoyed it. Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes dramatic, but overall it’s quite addictive and easy to watch. 

If you’re a football fan, then it’s definitely must-watch. Business aspect is also interesting. Episodes are shorter than 30 minutes, which is perfect for this kind of show, because you won’t get bored, but you can easily watch a few episodes at once.

Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments

You may think that I watch only sci-fi/fantasy shows, but that’s not true. I watch a lot of different stuff. But recently, as you see… Well, let’s move on to another one.

Shadowhunters is a show based on the book called The Mortal Instruments by American author Cassandra Clare which is the first of the Shadowhunter Chronicles. The book that I didn’t read and I probably won’t do it. There’s also a few movies, which I haven’t watched - well, to be honest I’ve seen only short excerpt of one. Maybe someday. But this blog is about tv-shows, noone cares about some stupid movies, right? Well, maybe, but I’ve watched the Shimmer Lake today.

But speaking of Shadowhunters again - I watched the 1st season a while ago. Today, I’ve discovered that there’s already season 2. As you can see it’s not a show that I’ve fallen in love with. But it’s alright. On Netflix they wrote that it’s a teeneger show. Maybe because the plot focuses mostly on adventures of young people, but there is some violence and blood. 

Claire, the main character was living her life like a normal teenager to the moment when problems has arrived and she learnt that she’s one of the Shadowhunters. They’re like ordinary people, but with some special powers coming from runes tattooed on their bodies. They live in the world in which other  mythical creatues  also exists. I’m talking about werewolfs and vampires. There’s also some magic involved.

If you like this kind of stuff, you should enjoy Shadowhunters. I’ve watched 3 episodes of the 2nd season today and I think that I enjoy this one more than I had with season one. And if you’re interested in differences between tv-show and a book you can look it up here.
