so my blood pressure has been high but my anxiety also hasn’t been medicated for nearly half a year so one doctor was like “CHECK IT EVERY DAY FOR TWO WEEKS” and I was like nah fam I know why it’s high I have anxiety and a million things going on that are legit stressful

Just saw my regular GP specifically FOR getting depression/anxiety medication and I was like “lol my bp has been high probably becAUSE I’M UNMEDICATED” and she was like “lol fam that’ll do it we’ll try this med if u down”

and that’s the story of how i went from a $400/month with insurance prescription to a $4/month prescription :3 

still doing a two week follow up cause new meds but it was nice to have my judgment trusted

also doctor and i spent some time bitching about medical and medication prices in the us which was cool esp when you live in a red state

Anyway gonna do that writing and then we’re having poke tonight so that’s pretty rad

So Alanna was probably my first girl crush before I even knew I liked girls so, you know.

She’s supposed to be fairly stocky and everyone tends to draw her kind of waifish? Probably because they want to be like “Yes, this is a girl disguised as a boy.” But stocky ripped Alanna, come on. How could you not?

The Alanna books (Lioness Quartet, technically) by Tamora Pierce were probably the first books that made me want to write. I started reading them when I was probably in second or third grade back in the late 90s, and from then on my parents knew what to get me for birthdays or Christmas when a new Tamora Pierce book came out. I would read them in three hours and then devour them again. It was the first time I really bothered to learn an author’s name because I knew I wanted more.

So yeah basically I love everything by Tamora Pierce and I wanted to draw something nostalgic, so Alanna it is!
