you're going up against a guy who is literally world's strongest creature - you are basically asking to end your life
and your wits knows that
"throw away your name and your wits" is equivalent to relieving the samurais of their moral restraints along with the life that they had lived through
another translation of the phrase is "surrender your name and be a child" (VIZ) affirms the notion above behind it. a child has yet anything to his name, nor has his life even begun. by adopting the mindset of a child, you are literally an idiot who knows nothing, including the capabilities of making logical decisions cuz they haven't learned yet (duh)

turn off their brain sometimes
and you adapt / figure it out as we go
and you learn from that adaptation

there is literally no downside to any scenario if you learn from it and get cool skill from it
children literally are having their brain GROWING so it's INCOMPLETE, which then make them made non logical decision. as they grow into adult, more logic and more knowledge and more experience are collected along the way
so foolism is essentially saying sometime you just go fuck it we ball and just make it up as you go
and honestly i think adopting that mindset and applying it to my approaches will give me such a unique and expansive life
(also i just have too many voices in my head if i stay in there or listen to it too much, i feel like im missing out on the life im supposed to be living. i could keep ruminating and looking for the best instruction forever, or i can just do it. right away and figure it out as i go. fuck it we ball.)
