Very moody garage rock from Texas.  Powerful, threatening vocals from Jon Williams, who I’m imagining was actually some scrawny teenager.  The 45 sells for thousands of dollars.

Last weekend at my grandmother’s, they all were talking about neighborhoods in Nashville, and my grandmother mistakenly referred to the Gulch as “the Gooch.” She said it more than once. It’s been almost a week and I still laugh out loud when I think about it.

I’m calling off Teva Tuesday. I’ve already forgotten about it twice since declaring it a thing. I wore my black EVA Birkenstocks yesterday. Sorry to disappoint anyone who’s also adopted it. (Just joshin’ about implying I have any influence over people’s fashion choices.)

I’m trying to take more time off work so I don’t burn out so frequently. I have my eye exam tomorrow, so I’m just taking off the whole day. Monday through Wednesday next week, I’ll probably work from home while attending a virtual conference, so I’ll still be working but only sorta. Then, I’m taking Thursday, Friday, and the following Monday off for my birthday. I haven’t anticipated this much relaxation in a while.
