Bonjour! I STUDIED DEMOCRACY IN AMERICA FOR SOME TIME. and let me tell you, it's crazy and confusing and just doesn't make sense. There can not be political equality because most Americans aren't informed about politics! They vote for who they like the best and that's no good! Au revoir mes supporteurs!

the US split into two powerful political parties that divide the citizens on racial, gender, age, economic, sexual preference and religion lines? And the citizens are loyal to their party and not what is right? And the parties attack each other in congress instead of working together? Wow, not like I predicted that or anything...

Why am I important??? Maybe because Barone's book, criticizing the American justice system, is titled Tocqueville Democracy. Or maybe because US presidents, such as Eisenhower and Reagan, have quoted my famous book Democracy in America. Oh right, that book that almost every college student studying politics is required to read, that's kinda important too. Also, my belief that the poor should be helped by private charity rather than government has been admired by conservatives AND classical liberals
