ZSL London Zoo - This extraordinary Burrowing Owl (Athene cunicularia) was displayed as part of an ‘Animals in Action’ show at London zoo. These stunning creatures are different to other owls as they are diurnal!

Doncaster (South Yorkshire), The Yorkshire Wildlife Park - Yellow Mongoose (Cynictus penicillata) lounging on the sun drenched rocks.
Doncaster (South Yorkshire), The Yorkshire Wildlife Park - Nobby, just one of the Yorkshire Wildlife Park’s four Polar Bears (Ursus maritimus). The YWP is steadily gaining more bears from poorer zoos which keep them in bad welfare conditions and by bringing them to the UK, they can be rehabilitated and given a better standard of life. They also participate in great work with Polar Bears International supporting the conservation of wild bears.

The Yorkshire Wildlife Park and the Yorkshire Wildlife Park Foundation take pride in their contribution and awareness building for the conservation of these endangered species. They fund both Wildlife Vets International (WVI) and the Amur Leopard and Tiger Alliance (ALTA) through a variety of fund raisers. CHECK OUT THESE ORGANISATIONS TO HELP THE CONSERVATION OF THESE VULNERABLE SPECIES.
