Final Mastery Update
When starting out on my MBA journey at Full Sail University I had many nieve assumptions. Things are always different than what we picture them to be. I knew early on that my experience here would be my responsibility to create. I believe that knowing this changed my perspective on how I traveled the journey throughout the year.
When I started, life had not presented the real world problems that I would need to face during my tenure. A lot happened that I could have let discourage me. I did not realize that the experiences that I endured.
This year and prior years will help in my career, and I have been made to see the humanness in everyone. As a result, my marketing message will reflect a deeper sense of connection to my audience. I could look back on the year and focus on the bad, or I could look back and focus on the things that inspired me to be a better person.
Being a good person is a choice. Given the profession that I had selected as a way to empower myself to influence more people, I was given a platform to tell my story, honestly. Having a voice is something that more people should have but because so few people are educated beyond high school, their voices tend to be muted. It is my desire to have compassion in my marketing endeavors.
At the beginning of this, I wanted to lead. During my journey at Full Sail University, I learned that in order to lead, all I had to do was have something to say, and the say it. I learned of the course of the year to learn, do, and teach. I also learned that books smarts will not matter to people as much; they do not care about my degree. They want to know that I care about them. Consumers care about themselves and their future.
As an internet marketer, the methods of spreading a message are numerous, and as such, we have an opportunity to change the world with what message we choose. Mine will be a good one! Originally, on my mastery-timeline, I just wanted to be able to stack all the pieces together. But now I see that I can mold the pieces to fit whatever structure of business, that is out there, and make it self-sufficient and scalable. That is powerful.
Behind every message is a marketer. During my time at Full Sail University, I learned how to tell a brand’s story, and how to identify, through psychographics and demographics, and to whom I was telling the brand’s story. I learned how to build relationships and engage an audience.
There are many things that I learned, but most importantly, I learned that I had to do my research. Things change quickly in this industry, and people are fickle. It has been a pleasure to have this opportunity, and hopefully, I will do my new knowledge justice.
