I love the relationship between Nephis and sunny now more than ever, two selfish people loving each other. It's very funny to me that some people expected Sunny to throw himself and everything into the forgotten god because it's Nephis's goal, they expect Sunny to be entirely at Nephis's service whereas the whole reason why he gave up on fate was to stop being a slave, to have a 'normal' relationship with Nephis.
Their relationship never changes them as a person, it adds a sense of normalcy in her life and it shines the reality of his. They are fundamentally selfish people and it never changed across the entire story, Nephis put her ambition before anything and Sunny his (and his family and friends's) survival before anything else, that's the sole reason they fight this hard.
And I don't think you as a person exist only for a relationship, that your entire life stops at your relationship. You exist as a person beyond everything else.
At the end of the day, Sunny will fight the forgotten god, not because of Nephis, but because of Weaver(and cz I won't let him catch a break, that would be too boring).
