Jane Margarette (b. 1985, San Diego CA) lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. Margarette’s elaborate wallbased ceramic reliefs often feature butterflies, bats, and birds.
She received her BFA in ceramics from California State University, Long Beach in 2016 and her MFA in ceramics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2020.
Heiner Bauschert (1928–1986, German), a native of Tübingen, studied in Karlsruhe under Professors Heckel, Hubbuch, and Schnarrenberger. From an early age he was interested in woodcuts, and by the age of 58, he had produced a substantial body of work, consisting mainly of hand-pulled prints in small editions. He worked as a scientific illustrator at the Zoological Institute of the University of Tübingen, creating charts and book illustrations. In 1955, he went to Paris on a grant from the regional government. Later he undertook numerous trips to Mediterranean countries, during which he created the majority of his watercolour works.
