#TRUTH NUKE killing bobby was quite possibly the worst decision tim minear could’ve made for 9-1-1 it truly sucked all the joy and heart out of the show…. i used to be up at 1am to watch live literally pacing out of excitement and now i truly dgaf i have seen like 1 episode from season 9…. i still can’t believe they did it and the fact it got leaked 1 month before are we serious …..

Okk so my thoughts on 9x04

The lack of bobby once again has me mad, and it did put a dark cloud over the episode (before you come for me let me explain). The episode was great angela and pepi's acting was phenomenal but in an episode where the synopsis specifically said "Athena will be forced to confront what it means to live without bobby" it wasnt really about bobby. Like if you had given me this episode back when we were doing the emmett storyline it would of been great but we're past emmett I don't know why the episode focused more on her Grief for emmett than it did bobby.

Though there was a few things I was reminded that could actually very much lead to a bobby alive reveal

●Wheres athenas being in denial about his death coming from because she's moved on

●using their first date as the only flashback Symbolise how their story isn't finished

●the color difference between the flashbacks could possibly be a hint that the light is still alive

●the overuse of hope: reminding the audience to always have hope?

●lack of bobby flashbacks because he's actually alive and all the Flashbacks would have actually made his death feel real

●no bobby hallucination talking to athena

●the white flash this one's a bit idk how it ties in perfectly but like it's kinda weird we got a white flash and then suddenly their all home

For me a big indicator that he's still alive is once again 911 proved they can write really good episodes when they want to

I think we can all admit the episodes surrounding bobby his death and his funeral were terrible and it's no way you write a MCD (YOUR FIRST) or their funeral. Like how could bobby be a subplot in his own funeral episode.

The terrible writing for those episodes will always lead me to believe it was done on purpose because he's not actually dead.

I miss what this show used to be and the loss of bobby has just put this huge Dark cloud over the whole show for me and I've seen similar comments in recent days from people.

Two episodes till mid-season and I really genuinely think the only thing they can give us in episode 6 is bobby alive because no other story has been fleshed out enough.

Random Thursday Afternoon Thoughts…

I would have a much easier time accepting that Bobby is actually dead if his “death” last season wasn’t so idiotic. Instead is Bobby “dying” from a blood-borne virus that he contracted by air in a glassed-off lab, they could have shown him dying in a hospital bed after catastrophic on the job injury with his wife and step-kids by his side holding his hands. They also felt the need to include distractions like a mysterious white flash of light and a body bag with an unknown body in it. Wouldn’t showing Bobby being zipped up in the bag have been a definitive statement?

The funeral was also botched. First of all, filming the precessional in downtown Los Angels in a way for the whole world to observe on Tik-Tok was moronic. And trying to hide whose funeral it actually was by using some rando firefighter’s jacket on the truck? Didn’t really work when they had Athena, May and Harry front and center and leading the way.

Second, squeezing in so much filler in the episode that made the actual funeral seem like an afterthought was dumb as well. You plan to kill off one of your leads, you need to act like it’s the monumental event you claim it is. That means the primary focus should have been on Bobby. Not Eddie, not Buck, not Maddie and definitely not the random woman from the fire years ago.

Third, where was Bobby’s family and Athena’s family? They were seen at the funeral and in stills released after the episode aired. Why wasn’t their grief shown? Charlie and Ann had just been reunited with Bobby after years of estrangement and the audience is shown nothing from them. Beatrice and Samuel were there as well but the show couldn’t be bothered to show them comforting their recently widowed daughter. How the 118 and other characters were dealing with what happened should have waited until the next episode. Bobby’s funeral episode should have been about Bobby.

Whether he planned it or not, Tim Minear left a lot of plot holes and open questions about Bobby’s “death.” As it stands now, I don’t find it implausible that Bobby Nash is alive out there somewhere. And when Bobby comes back ALIVE, so will I.

And in particular the "save a life" part is right beside the nash nametag means he's alive.

The imagery the symbolism and the foreshadowing is all done so intentionally

I said if he was alive we'd get a hint in the promo and I swear this is the closest hint were gonna get because their not gonna reveal him in promo

Okay so I don't usually respond to rude comments but honestly this is starting to piss me off. I'm a fan of the show I'm allowed to speak my views. I'm also allowed to speak them on my own tumblr post.

What happened with this storyline in regards to how they treated killing Bobby Nash off has been horrendous there was the shit uneven plot of 8x15 and then the shit funeral which was leaked but that funeral plot was not a way to say goodbye to your main character.

I'm not even gonna start on the fact that this show has completely and utterly disrespected Peter krause. Its on my page. You can go look if you want.

I'm also not gonna start with the many plotholes that have been in eyesight since 8x15

I'm gonna choose everything and what we saw last night is clear indication that he's returning

Also like If it was your favourite character you'd be acting the same. Buddie stans haven't stopped talking about them going canon (which if bobbys alive I'd love to see) but my point is if everyone can continue to talk about buddie and the possibility it might happen I can talk about bobby and the possibility that he is very much still alive

It's been awhile I've been compiling a piece all summer not sure it itll ever make it on here

And something I can't understand is a week before s9 comes out 3 episodes a getting rerun on tv

One being holy mother of God you know the episode that's very bobby centric

Which I can't understand why'd you rerun a episode centered around your character that's not gonna be in s9 unless he is alive and coming back

Do I believe Bobby is alive yes 100%

Do I believe that's how the story was supposed to go no. If Tim had his way bobby would stay dead. Though I believe abc always needed a plan B and that's why we were left with so many plotholes

No one expected the backlash to be this bad that we're all the way in july and people have not backed down

Therefore abc was faced with the only solution but to retcon it.

Is it going to be played as the biggest plot twist ever? YES. do I think it could be good tv? Yes. And if they rope nashville into it it'll be a great way of forcing the audience to watch the spinoff the see what happens bobby

There's still a small tiny part of me wondering If this was the plan all a long based on what certain people said but yeh

What I still can't understand is why they used that picture of just Bobby and Athena at the upfronts

The upfronts were specifically to promote season 9 so why are they out here choosing to use a picture of Bobby and Athena to promote season 9 when Bobby's dead. It's not like the upfronts happened before we knew about him dying so therefore there was no reason at all to use that picture when he is dead.

Not to mention its a new picture that's never been released yeh we have one of the whole cast but not one or just Bobby and Athena so they really chose to just release this.

But why how can you use a dead character to promote your new season

Everything 9-1-1 has done since 8x15 aired has been disrespectful to both Peter and Bobby
