Brian knew Irina was in trouble. She was a Siren, after all. He arrived just in time to see the seaport catch fire. He had less than a minute to save her. Kate waved her hand in front of her eyes a few times, waiting as the darkness began to clear. She could she dark shapes, then grey splotches, then fuzzy outlines. Kate blinked a few times, trying to make things come into focus.

“Kate,” the Doc was right beside her, “You’ll have to stay here for at least a few hours. I want to make sure there aren’t any side effects or reactions to the tears.”

The radio crackled to life. “Kate, its Adam. Brian and Sarah are trapped in some sort of webbing. Whatever did this seems to be gone now but it was absolutely horrid. I guess my dual personalities make me immune to its deception.”

“Where are they, Adam?” Kate asked as she rounded the corner and ran into the Doc’s office. She was only slightly surprised to find it empty. “And where is everyone else?” 

Kate rushed up to the Doc computer, and got onto the program for the surveillance cameras. She flicked quickly through the cameras, seeing no one. Kate turned away, and pulled open one of the desk drawers roughly. She grabbed the gun, and checked the mag, before turning back to the cameras. “Adam?”
