when rhythmic gymnasts bind themselves with the ribbon like this it reminds me of sailor moon
Compiled some basic information I know about drawing fat characters for beginners since I've been seeing more talk about absence of really basic traits in a lot of art lately.

btw I’ve found these stretches from the WAK blog very helpful when knitting a lot:
Plus make sure to take breaks regularly - and stop if anything starts to hurt!
especially with gift knitting I know it can be tempting to push through it for a deadline, but it’s really not worth causing long term injury. (And anyone knit-worthy should be understanding of that, imho.) Stay well :)
Also good for artists drawing with pencils/on a tablet/with a pen!
Also good for writers
If you’re looking to really support your fingers and wrists, I recommend adding a reusable putty or slime to #2. I also suggest squishing, flaring out, and rotating your fingers in the putty or slime. It increases strength in multiple directions, which can lessen the strain on your muscles from gripping things.
Stretches provide very little to no resistance that will build strength. The putty provides resistance in all directions, as opposed to gripping something, which only applies it in one. Increasing strength in other areas of your hands, wrists, and arms is great for hand function. It improves dexterity, stamina, and lessens your chance of getting things like carpal tunnel.
These and the putty exercises I suggested are some of the exercises I do for my degenerative neuromuscular disease. I’ve been doing them for a decade, and I’ve maintained use of my hands longer than doctors anticipated in part because of them.

The fact this isn't a painting is a testament to one of the greatest feats of set design and production I've ever seen.
My god just look at this! The lighting, set design, photography... I've just never seen anything like it.
I think this is the first time I've ever been wowed by "this ISN'T a painting"!
me, having deeply fallen out of the practice of writing poetry: I can’t write any more, I am now a Talentless Hack
the voice of my 11th grade journalism/12th grade creative writing teacher who rly did know everything: if you stop writing for a while the words will build up and stagnate. to clear the water, you will have to open the dam completely, and accept the fact that what initially comes out will not be palatable
This. This is so true. Starting again is more important than what you actually write. You are rusty. You’ll build up momentum again. All you need to do is start.
Morning exercises for the gang;
They're so cute.
