Being a BoJack Horseman fan is so hard because the show explores themes of trauma, addiction, mental illness, the dark side of fame, suicidal ideation, cycles of harm, and redemption in honest and nuanced ways better than much other media I've seen. But if you get really into it and want to talk about that, you have to have serious discussions about characters with names like Mr. Peanutbutter and Cutie Cutie Cupcake
happy aromantic visibilty day to one of my fav fandom wiki comments
writing a comedy song about the commodification of feminism being sold as a form of self-care and casually dropping it on the cw is why i will always love this show
crazy ex girlfriend really said maybe you’re chasing something that was never really there to begin with. maybe that person or that event you equivocate to a time you were truly content wasn’t actually perfect. nothing has ever been perfect because all of us are deeply flawed and you must acknowledge that before you can begin to find peace and understand what happiness actually means to you.
i go to the zoo from cxgf is truly one of the best songs ever written. i look at the monkeys. their eyes look like my eyes…
It’s insane to me that Crazy Ex Girlfriend isn’t like a well known popular show it’s genuinely one of the best shows I’ve ever watched. So anyways here are some reasons to watch it:
It’s a musical with pretty much 2-3 great songs per episode
It tackles themes of anti-misogyny and mental illness in such a unique and nuanced way
It has an Asian American main love interest which is so rare for tv shows
It got its full 4 seasons so it doesn’t feel rushed and has a fantastic ending
This one’s kind of a spoiler but it needs to be mentioned that this show has a main character with borderline personality disorder and the representation is the best I’ve seen in television.
OK I find fem Jax pretty and hot I guess
Raggedy Roan
