I'm so glad the PWHL is getting a Vegas team. I went to college with a lot of kids from Las Vegas, there are a lot of kids from rich families who want to be the best at what they do.

Since the Golden Knights’ inaugural NHL season in 2017, youth hockey participation in Nevada has surged, particularly among girls and women with a 600% increase. Las Vegas has also established itself as one of the strongest fan bases for women’s sports, highlighted by the success of the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces and continued investment in major sporting events across the market.

I'm as angry as the next guy about some of these new locations but I need y'all to know that it isn't the fault of the people in those cities for saying yes to PWHL teams when they "haven't proven themselves on the Takeover Tour market" it is solidly the fault of the rich assholes in the cities that did prove themselves on the Takeover Tour market that said no to a pwhl team. It is arena owners that don't want to share the ice and multi-millionaire/billionaires in those areas that said "hmmm no". Know the real enemy.

Find some levity in the insanity that is the reaction PWHL expansion announcements and spitball ideas for the team names with your friends instead. Unfortunately the WNBA already has the best possible name for a Vegas based sports team so I say we step away from gambling imagery and really step out into nature.

Vegas Venom (spiders lizards and snakes oh my)

Vegas Rush (nod to the Nevada Mining industry)
