Basic online etiquette when interacting with artists:
Reblog or retweet/share from the source
Don’t take and redistribute what doesn’t belong to you
Don't repost without permission
Don't crop watermarks
Don't claim other's work as your own
Don't remove links to OP's website/store/etc
“I got the image from Pinterest / Google / Facebook / etc, I didn’t know the artist!”
If you don’t know the artist, then you don’t have permission to repost. Finding an image online doesn’t mean it’s free to take. If you refuse to look up a watermark or reverse image search to find the owner to ask for permission to share it, then practise simply not posting what doesn’t belong to you. Easy peasy.
Theft isn't cool, and it takes away exposure, engagement, recognition, and potential sales and work opportunities from artists. Support creative people rather than stealing from them.
