So this is a piece I started quite some time ago that I cannot believe I artistically produced and gathered the courage to post! Throughout my life I’ve dealt with insecurities and engulfed myself in honest hatred for my body. “My arms are too fat” “my face is too chubby” “my skin is too dark” “my face is too pudgy”! “Don’t I wish my skin was flawless” “I wish I was thinner” “I wish I was more toned” I I I I! All that cruel bullshit. Young girls go through so much unnecessary, demeaning phases and it gets overwhelming. I was subject of self infliction and reflecting on it, all I needed to do was disconnect with all that negativity and love myself more! It’s still a work in progress, I have some stepping stones to cross before I love myself more than ever, but progress is everything and after years of tormenting myself I’m beginning to get comfy and stop trying to crawl out of my own skin. I think I’ll stick around, look forward to new beginnings. Live my life with easy thinking, and conquer more artsy fartsy projects, I did good and if yall don’t think so, at least I do…❤️
