Slightly underrated aspect of the past few chapters is how Angel kept getting jumpscared with “worst case scenario Alastor” followed by seeing realizing that he is not, in fact, that bad. It’s reminiscent of the eggbois saga where Alastor acts like he’s sooo thrilled to murder them when Vaggie tells him to dispose of them and then the second he’s out of sight of the hotel he’s just like, bringing them around town like daycare kids on a leash, keeping them from agitating dangerous Overlords, and becoming inexplicably fond by the end of the day. Local man needs you to believe he is a dangerous maniac, is in fact a safe bet for a reliable emergency contact.

Running through this a little — Angel storms the hotel afraid that Alastor is going to have gone violently ballistic on Husk. Finds that what actually happened is they hurt each other’s feelings plus mutual property damage. Angel sees that Alastor has gotten Vox on a leash and somehow convinced him it’s a good thing. Finds out that the leash is literally just a temporary kink thing and Vox isn’t being master-manipulated, he just knows he’s actually safe. And all of this escalates and culminates into Angel blinking and starting to see Alastor as an actual human person—coincidentally, right after he’s seen through a bunch of the other fronts Alastor has put on as a maniacal monster.

I think after all the mess about Magneto and the Maximoffs, settling on "they're not blood related but still regard each other as family" is a decent place to end up at, but it does make Mags and Pietro's relationship hilarious.

one day in febuary my friend and i watched ep 2x14 of xmen evo that sent us into a spiral of "what if erik was taken in by bucky, steve, and logan during ww2", and i particularly went insane about the pseudo-brother relationship between bucky and erik. so now it's an AU!!

this is just a massive collection of a portion of art i've made of this AU, and some of it is quite obviously OLD 😭 these two are sooo important to me though i'm quite literally insane about their relationship.

after bucky "dies" and steve gets frozen in the ice i'd imagine erik goes off on his own, likely tries to find magda after they were separated. his life remains pretty close to the comics but somewhere down the line him and bucky cross paths again. it takes a minute for them to make the connection (it's been years, bucky's memory is fucked, and erik can't recognize him) but once they do they find the bond as brothers they created during ww2 never really went away. they are brothers your honor!!!

won't get too rambly but steve and logan are essentially coparenting those two during ww2. trying to keep the two children that desperately yearn to kill nazis under control.
