He’d felt a lingering stare for quite some time now, without acting on it. Mal was someone who was used to have eyes trail him, though usually it would be one on one in a small room, where he had all the power. Now he still thought he had most of the power, but he had decided to at least attempt blending in. It was an ongoing test to be honest, one he was sure he wouldn’t pass because eventually it would get too predictable. Boring. “Can I help you with something?” He asked, turning his face towards the stare and meeting those eyes, a blonde eyebrow cocked in question.

Mercy had seen him from across the room and she hadn’t been very subtle in her watching him. Heaven was filled with stories, from the stories of earth and about the angels that had fallen. Malakai was one of the angel’s she remembered hearing stories about. While the angel didn’t approach him herself, she knew that she was staring more than necessary. When he spoke, she jumped, almost startled that she’d been caught though she shouldn’t have been. “It’s just...” she trailed off for a moment before moving closer. “I’ve heard stories about you for a very long time. From home,” she explained. Since arriving in the city, she had learned that the title of fallen angel could mean many things but she wasn’t sure until she met them.
