Here is some of the photos from the “test ride” I did with Abrazo yesterday and today! The first picture is us doing cross country in Firgrove (yesterday) while the others are of me doing bareback with him (today) which is something I want to get more in to as it seems to help create a bond between you and your horse (and helps with getting a better seat)!
So I know it’s been a while but a lot has been happening!
My friend Audrey in Dundull decided that it was time to sell her horse as she is moving to South Hoof to work at the Rescue Center there and she won’t have time for him anymore. Audrey texted me last week telling me her predicament and I offered to come down to her local stable where she boards and to try him out!
I arrived at the stable today and I met... Abrazo! Apparently it means “Hug” in Spanish which I thought was adorable! Anyway so we went on a ride where I popped him over a few jumps and he is a lovely scopey jump in him which would be perfect for cross country. Audrey has competed in a few shows with him where he did decent in, around 4-5th place. After seeing his movements when Audrey lunged him I could see that he has a lot of potential, Audrey had been working on his extend trot and it was super cute!
I have a week to mull things over and see if it would work with my local stable, (if they have enough room is the biggest problem!) I will keep you guys updated!

It’s been a while since I have gone on a trail ride with Crimson, I’ve been training a few new lesson horses for the stable recently and it’s taken up a lot of my time. I took Crimson out around Moorland beach and we explored a bit of Nilmer’s Highland, it’s pretty interesting up there.
Anyway I have to go, Waitt is barking at me for a walk!

Went for a jog this morning with Wiatt around the back of Silverglade and up to the entrance to Fort Pinta. It was a great morning for a run, a bit on the cold side but sunny. We stopped at Silversong River and Wiatt played fetch for a while. Wiatt and I headed back to Firgrove, when we got to the stable Wiatt fell asleep on his little bed, while I started my morning routine with the horses.
