#Hurtjohn is partnering with Kean University for a three month #artgallery titled Movement. This gallery is dedicated to the #BlackLivesMatter movement and will feature15 distinct pieces by 15 artists; allowing the artists to give their perspectives on the struggle of the oppressed; this is not limited to just one 'kind' of peoples, but extends to many. Black, is not a color, but a social condition plagued by lack of resources, exclusion from sound schooling, economic foundations, and more! The gallery will run from July through September and will have both opening and closing receptions. In addition to said receptions, various panel discussions will be held, as well as poetry segments throughout the three months! #Hurtjohn is looking for artists of all kinds and backgrounds to occupy the Dryfoos Gallery walls located in the heart of Kean University's campus.
