“Stylistically, Rimada said he loves the work of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, along with art nouveau painters like Gustav Klimt and Alphonse Mucha. He draws from their bright colors and intricate, decorative patterns, and adds elements from Mexican culture, like the calaveras (also known as sugar skulls) pervasive at Dia de los Muertos.”
