i can't find the tweet i wrote about it a while ago but i'll share a fact about my 2p!spain and this is gonna be a whole load of absolutely NOTHING so don't judge me

i remember i talked about my headcanon about spain and his colonies, where he he wasn't outright abusive or purposely bad but he loved them so much that he became selfish and didn't actually consider their needs and all, but feels guilt for it. my 2p!spain is different ofc. he's much more 'predatory'. he still finds younger nations cute as 1p does, but instead of being relatively normal like 1p, he's more likely to try to get them to like him. and when they're his, he's incredibly possessive.

and i still wouldn't say he's physically abusive either, it's still obvious mistreatment but he's more patronizing and manipulative about it, with some neglect here and there. he hardly raises his voice tho. honestly i think 1p is more likely to raise his voice?!?! 2p would only raise his voice around his enemies if i didn't see him as someone who wouldn't really talk much (You will mostly hear ambiguous grunts from him). One of the only good parts of belonging to him (unless you're attracted to him) would be that he's insanely protective and no one would ever want to mess with you

but after he stopped being an empire and lost his colonies, he kind of relaxed. you don't see this side of him anymore. he still feels pangs of desire to have that again though. and maybe he feels a bit lonely (very lonely), and those actions also stemmed from loneliness. He needs someone to be thereeeee.. i can't really tell if he wouldn't feel any guilt or just not realize the guilt is there at all. like suppressed and stuff. but he still wants it again even if he does feel guilt unlike 1p who never wants it to happen again(but he also has that desire to have them again deep down!! it's just very hidden from himself and others. you can rouse it out of him with the right words..). and the treatment is also more purposeful unlike 1p if i didn't make that clear

but under all this, he's still just as loving as 1p i feel like.. just with far more issues I'm also not trying to say he's a pdophileif that's able to be taken from this with the preying on younger nations thing!?khdkshdg And he probably really needs that hug.

i want to expand more on my 2p iberias because there isn't really anything to them right now except for how they interact with others and how spain is the reason portugal is blind (i don't even why yet) But i love them. Sorry for my constant unsure tone. I'm probably also wrong. again it's a whole load of nothing qtqgeqetjghg
