Bootsy, as of the 21st, was showing signs of being lethargic and refusing food and water. On the 22nd we took him to the Vets where they did xrays, tests and an examination.

Bootsy was diagnosed with the following:

Fever

Heart murmur

Anemia

Feline asthma

Swollen lymph nodes

Ulcers back of throat

Activity in his lungs

For the tests and blood work it came out to at first 980 and some odd change. Then for the extended stay and tests it was an addtional 1000. So my dad paid the 1000.

We then had him referred to the the pet ER and took him. The xrays and blood work were very informative so they didnt have to do much in repeated tests. However the cost for feeding tube, a central line for blood work, overnight stay, a fast active insulin (as compared to his long term which he takes) and any other tests came out to be an estimated 3000 to 5000. We footed the 3000, but today we are going to be given a new estimate, based on how Bootsy is doing. Which means additional money.

My dad has been footing the bill where I cannot, as he has more money saved up then me. We know its not the food, as my other cats eat the same. Regardless I have the goal set at 3000 because even if my dad can feesibly take care of any expenses, we will still need money to supplement where we can.

I am not asking for much, but if you could share that would be great.

UPDATE: HE IS EATING. I REPEAT EATING. Not a lot, but its something. Im so relieved, but we arent out of the woods yet and I still need help money wise. Even if you cant donate, sharing helps.

UPDATE:

So we got the next 2k paid ontop of the 3k priorn. The plan now being between 5k and 6k. However we are now both tight and any help is appreciated.

Bootsy's potassium and electrolytes are now stable, he is eating on his own and they are going to hopefully be able ti remove the constant insulin and replace it with his slow acting one. They're going to do a blood glucose curve to see how much to adjust.

At best we can take him home tomorrow, at worst he will need to stay a few more nights. Again any and all help is appreciated.

Back at it again: He is showing more life and they confirmed he is well on his way to being closer to being discharged. 🥺🥺🥺 im just so happy.

He is home. So through out his stay we kept putting down money. Aside from the 2,162.54 at the vet for the tests and to be seen between me paying out 397.54 and him (my dad) the addtional 1,765 ONTOP of the 6,765 means in total we spent 8,530 on bootsy.

He has footed the bill since the 22nd. When we got to the ER Vet it was 3000 down and then 2000. Then we had to pay an additional remaining 1,765 for the extra day.

In total we spent 8,530 on Bootsy.

On our way back with Bootsy my father and I argued. He brought up spending all this money in the cat and it got really explosive, so now I am struggling to pay him back. I lowered the funds to 1000. Idk if i can all help, but I don't mind shares.

Money is tight and I honestly dont want to deal with more arguments. My ex, Bootsy's owner, is helping me, but we still need help. Thank you for the shares.

I have 50 currently (a friend donated 10 to the fundraiser and another sent me 40 via venmo). I'll be giving my dad 300 of my patcheck as I get about 560 a week and I have my own bills to pay, and my ex is going to help as I said. Just...if you could share that would be wonderful. Thank you. 💕

My goal is to get a 1000 at the very least. I hate i have to do this, but like I really dont know what else to do to pay back my dad who is now using helping me to pay for Bootsy ovrr my head even tho he says he is glad, but then got upset at the total bill. But its whatever. I should be used to this at 30 years old but we gucci.
