This week’s Route of the Week is the Route 108! The Route 108 is a Suburban Bus Route that travels between 69th Street Transportation Center and Philadelphia International Airport. Its route is 16.3 miles long and makes 168 trips each day. On a typical weekday, the Route 108 carries 5,541 passengers, giving it the third highest ridership among #SEPTA Suburban Bus Routes. The Route 108 is a SEPTA Nite Owl Route, running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Route 108 was known as Red Arrow Route “J” until June 16, 1975. The Route 108 began serving Philadelphia International Airport on April 4, 1993, when it merged with City Bus Route “U”. Today, the Route 108 services all terminals at the airport. The Route 108 connects with the Market-Frankford Line, the Norristown High Speedline, and 19 separate bus routes at 69th Street Transportation Center. On its route, the Route 108 also connects with Fernwood Station on the Media/Elwyn Line and Eastwick Station on the Airport Line. Whether you’re headed to Philadelphia International Airport, 69th Street Transportation Center, or anywhere in between, hop the Route 108 and let SEPTA take you there! #RouteOfTheWeek #ISEPTAPHILLY (at Philadelphia International Airport)
