So, my laptop is died. As it stands, I was able to back up most of my art, but I am unfortunately unable to afford a new one right now and that means no art for a while. The amount I get monthly on disability isn't enough to save up effectively, so I am hopeful I can try commissions for the difference! If you're willing to wait until I have a computer to draw on again, I'll be offering commissions (plus a personal thank you post card for anyone willing to wait on art, or donate!)!

I'll draw just about anything, from OCs to fanart, just ask :D

Commission Pricing:

Coloured headshots (like the first two examples above) are $10 for flat colours, or $15 for extra details or shading.

Full body or 3/4 body with patterned backgrounds are $25 for flat colours, or $35 for detailed colour or excessive details.

Double character full or 3/4 body with flats are $35, or $45 for detailed colour.

Artist’s statement:

"I photographed these cultural places in order to produce an effect of visual saturation. This profligacy of splendor contributes to stun the senses and at first glance provides an effect which tends toward abstraction. The optical flatness produced by the camera looks like and references the “trompe l’oeil” technique often used in this type of architecture. The goal of this approach is to show in an analytical way the exuberance and the surfeit of baroque as a critical shortcut of the dramatic character of our current society.

Baroque style developed at a time where the Catholic Church was reacting against a new science and new forms of religion. The monumental baroque was a style that the papacy was able to exploit like the absolute monarchies did. The baroque wouldtherefore have served a catholic will to reconquer souls. Therefore, by choosing baroque churches as metaphor of spectacle, my pictures also work as an historical reminder of the picture function.

My work is displayed in print formats of 120 cm over 160 cm under acrylic glass.”

In the mid-1930s, an Australian journalist visited Germany to report on the rise of fascism and interview Adolf Hitler. The atrocities she saw there, which included the public beating of Jews, forever changed the course of her young life. Nancy Wake, who died Sunday at age 98, would spend World War II fighting Nazism tooth and nail, saving thousands of Allied lives, winding up at the top of the Gestapo’s most-wanted list and ultimately receiving more decorations than any other servicewoman.

Wake made her way from Spain to Britain, where she convinced special agents to train her as a spy and guerilla operative. In April 1944 she parachuted into France to coordinate attacks on German troops and installations prior to the D-Day invasion, leading a band of 7,000 resistance fighters. In order to earn the esteem of the men under her command, she reportedly challenged them to drinking contests and would inevitably drink them under the table. But her fierceness alone may have won her enough respect: During the violent months preceding the liberation of Paris, Wake killed a German guard with a single karate chop to the neck, executed a women who had been spying for the Germans, shot her way out of roadblocks and biked 70 hours through perilous Nazi checkpoints to deliver radio codes for the Allies. So this is what happens when you mix salts of different metals (Lithium, Strontium, Sodium, Copper, and Potassium) into methanol and then light that sucker.

Pretty colours is what.

Each metal has a different configuration of electrons orbiting in the atom. When the different atoms get energy from the heat, the electrons in the different metals will be excited by a different amount. When they de-excite they release that energy as light. Different metals release different eneriges. Different energies is different colours. The more energy, the violeter the light.

Using different metal salts is also how fireworks do the thing.
