if the kiss didn’t happen, the highlight of ep 5 definitely would have been ben’s epic inability to read a room and being like, “whoa hey you were so cool palm!!!! two thumbs up!!!” while palm just stares at him in his arm cast lmfao

i see like... no actual genuine romantic interest from nueng toward ben. i mean, i see enjoyment of being wanted by a cute guy, sure, but not much aside from that. i know ppl have said chimon can have chemistry with anyone, and i believe that, but i think it’s been active choice on the actors’ and director’s part to void any chemistry between these characters. it just feels like i’m just watching two fellas shootin’ the shit when i watch their scenes, even when there’s this really overt romantic dialogue lol. and that dry as the sahara kiss... omg. 

nueng was a terrible shit this ep. just an absolute possessive, manipulative, controlling, derogatory shit and i’m very much mad at him. though i’m sure the audience is not supposed to be happy with him at this point. i want palm to make him squirm like the worm he is next week but knowing the palm character, even if he does, the first time nueng shows any kind of vulnerability, palm will immediately give in. sigh. 

i really like palm a lot, even though acting is not one of pond’s strengths if i’m being honest. it kind of works for the character in a weird way. that awkward dancing with maggie at the dance club? my brain lit up like a christmas tree, i loved it.

i’m trying to read the forecasting love and weather tag and it’s just people taking out their unresolved trauma from the 2521 ending out on flaw. like damn, sublimate that shit somewhere else! sorry we got a happy ending and we thriving!!!

I see the criticisms of forecasting love and weather (omg it spells flaw, that’s unfortunate) and i understand them but I just can’t relate to them. I’m loving watching the main relationship develop. I appreciate that the show’s presenting question isn’t “are they going to get together?” or “are they going to get together soon?”. The question is “uhhh can these two people with trust issues in a complicated work environment actually make this work????” and every episode I’m having a fun time watching to find out the answer! Genuinely! pmk and sk are selling it (the lack of chemistry critique is the one nag that I absolutely do not agree with) and the whole cast is very pleasant to watch as a whole.

I will say, the weather analogies are amazingly bad and the second leads are some of the most one-dimensional I’ve seen.

Shinwoo: boy if you don’t learn to verbalize your feelings and needs…… you’re self-destructive and you need to be stopped. resenting others for not reading your mind and then letting that boil over is not as cute as you think it is.

Taekyung: keep your damn hands to your damn self. to be fair, namgoong and daon need to stop giving you the terrible advice of continually invading shinwoo’s boundaries but Iets keep the touchy touchy to a minimum. shinwoo’s closeted ass is going to have a heart attack.

Daon: bitch you’re codependent as hell!!! Although you may feel you’re being a good person by needlessly apologizing, you’re actually a thief stealing away the other person’s opportunity to take responsibility for their own actions. It’s self serving and not okay!!
