Watching the scene where Johnny gets arrested 😭 oh my god this adult man just stomped his foot in anger like a toddler
Throwing the word “preposterous” with a hard p oh you can tell he was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth.
He’s probably going to be in jail complaining that the food is bad and the inmates are mean to him 😭
Grown man btw
HE ACTS LIKE A TODDLER FR😭
LIKE MAN YOU ARE PUSHING LATE 40S
I don’t like how they wrote Johnny in the last two episodes. Like they rushed the reveal he was evil. In my mind he’s more morally grey and yk. Doesn’t act like an idiot. Especially not on LIVE TV
SAME!!It all felt so rushed. I wish there was more depth in his character and not this sudden change. He fr acted like a total idiot...
I’m just saying if I was on the writers team—
OH YOU WOULD HAVE DONE IT A LOT BETTER!I DONT JUST THINK THAT,I KNOW THAT!There is so much potentional in making Johnny a lot more interesting in these episodes... It could have been better if we could at least get more story from Johnny and not a small explanation from Randall...
Like, Johnny isn’t stupid, nor is he a man-child. Sure, he’d be worried about monsters Inc’s success with laughter and see it as a threat to his company as well as everything he’s been raised to believe in: that monsters are meant to scare.
Yes, he’s still neglectful to his employees, but it’s not like this cartoonishly evil thing, he’s not doing it intentionally.
My story idea is Randall coming back to the monster world through one of FearCo’s doors, in rough shape and mentally unstable. And in this state, he decides to help Johnny out (seeing his weakness and taking advantage of it)
Johnny of course doesn’t want to play dirty. It’s not in his nature to cheat, it’s not the Worthington way. But with his legacy on the line… well, as long as no one finds out about it, it couldn’t hurt. So he patches Randall up and allows him to stay at FearCo, unbeknownst to the other employees.
Johnny wouldn’t do the scream amplifier thing knowing it’s risky, because he does care about Monstropolis and wouldn’t want to blow it and his family sky high. So in my retelling, Randall convinces/tells him it’s fine.
The reason Tylor doesn’t stop Johnny here is because Randall never reveals himself to him. He never tells him the plan. He never gives that poorly shot and cringy exposition dump to Tylor because… why would he? No seriously why did he do that in canon that’s fucking dumb
Ough sorry long reply but. Just wanted to share my au/rewrite
NOOO PLEASE DON'T APOLOGIZE,I LOVE YOUR AUS AND IDEAS. AND OH HOW I AGREE WITH YOU RIGHT NOW!!!
There is no way Johnny would ever act this way like he does in the last episodes. I just don't believe Johnny would genuinely want to...cheat. Yes,he was worried about Fear. Co and his family legacy, but I think cheating like that would make him feel really bad deep inside. Looking back at M.U we see that hard work is important for Johnny, which already means that cheating was never something he was taught to do. He was just too worried about his family legacy. He still wanted it to be high.
AND TYLOR NOT STOPPING JOHNNY JUST BECAUSE HE DOESN'T KNOW THE PLAN IS JUST GREAT. Like for real,WHY would Randall dump all this plan out of nowhere?!I know,we,viewers, needed to find out,but...there are better ways to do that??!! (connecting to your au and ideas)Randall knows laugh and scream mixing is dangerous,so him telling this to a monster he barely knows and can trust would be straight up stupid
Maybe past me was onto something
